In the hope of finding his vanished father the protagonist Jason entered the wonderful land inhabited by mythological creatures. Here the young Greek makes acquaintance with prophets, maenads, big and strong bulls and others. The ruler of this land is a huge monster – Minotaur. To continue his mission Jason is going to endure serious trials in the season 2. It differs from its predecessor. So what’s changed? Merlin definitely went darker in its fourth and fifth series. The story itself is much more somber, much more action-packed and much more about the world at large, how Atlantis works, how the islands around Atlantis work. The characters are more layered, their relationships are more complex. A lot of new female characters appear in the new series.
