The plot is built around a school Glee Club, which is run by a High School Spanish teacher, Will Schuester. First, students who are in a brutal caste system is considered to be outcasts: trendy boy gay excessively ambitious and vociferous girl, a young black woman with overweight and a boy in a wheelchair are coming to the Glee. Gradually, school idols come to the Glee for different reasons – cheerleaders girls and boys from the football team. Together they begin to prepare for the competition of school choirs...

Episode #1: Pilot (air date: 2009-05-19)

Will Schuester an optimistic high school teacher, tries to reinvent the McKinley High School's glee club, while reinventing himself. He challenges a group of outcasts to realize their true star potential, while facing harsh criticism from everyone in the school.

Episode #2: Showmance (air date: 2009-09-09)

The Glee Club performs for the school for the first time. Meanwhile, when Quinn sees that Rachel has feelings for Finn, she goes to any length to keep him. Later, Mr. Schuester's wife reveals some surprising news.

Episode #3: Acafellas (air date: 2009-09-16)

Will forms an a capella group and spends more time with them than he does with New Directions after he is asked to perform at the PTA meeting with some surprising additions to his group. Meanwhile, Kurt is under pressure in his life which isn't helped by Mercedes' newfound interest in finding a relationship.

Episode #4: Preggers (air date: 2009-09-23)

Kurt joins the football team just to impress his father. Finn and Quinn's relationship gets a shocking development.

Episode #5: The Rhodes Not Taken (air date: 2009-09-30)

A new face stirs things up for New Directions when April Rhodes (guest star Kristin Chenoweth) lends her voice to the show.

Episode #6: Vitamin D (air date: 2009-10-07)

Will decides to give New Directions some competition between them by having the boys go against the girls. Terri becomes the school nurse to check on Will.

Episode #7: Throwdown (air date: 2009-10-14)

Sue's new job as Glee co-chair gives her new opportunities to break up the club as she introduces a tough competition to the group.

Episode #8: Mash-Up (air date: 2009-10-21)

Inspired by the students, Will composes a mash-up for a very special occasion. Meanwhile, in a shocking reversal of roles, McKinley High's cool kids are dethroned in an "icy" fashion, and Sue shows off her softer side in the "Mash-Up" episode of GLEE.

Episode #9: Wheels (air date: 2009-11-11)

Will encourages the Glee Club to support Artie, and asks each of them to perform in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, Kurt and Rachel compete for a big solo.

Episode #10: Ballad (air date: 2009-11-18)

Mr. Schuester has the Glee Club split up into pairs to sing their favorite ballad, but when one kid gets sick, he’s forced to step in and winds up in a sticky situation. Meanwhile, Finn has dinner with Quinn’s parents.

Episode #11: Hairography (air date: 2009-11-25)

Eve guest-stars as a rival glee club’s instructor. The Glee Club checks out their hair-raising competition, and Kurt gives Rachel a makeover.

Episode #12: Mattress (air date: 2009-12-02)

When the Glee Club is left out of the yearbook because of budget cuts, everyone seems to be relieved that they won’t have to suffer the ridicule of years past. Everyone except Rachel, that is, who wants her legacy cemented in print. Meanwhile, Quinn makes it her mission to be in the Cheerios yearbook photo, and Will and Terri’s relationship is shaken to its core.

Episode #13: Sectionals (air date: 2009-12-09)

Sectionals is finally here for the Glee Club, but when Quinn’s secret unravels, the club may not be able to recover in time to compete. Meanwhile, Sue’s scheming hits an all-time high, and with Emma and Ken’s marriage looming, Will makes a decision that could change his life forever.

Episode #14: Hell-O (air date: 2010-04-13)

Fresh off their monumental win at Sectionals, New Directions is on top of the world. With an extra spring in their step, they get to work on new numbers for Regionals. But when Rachel and Finn’s budding romance hits a bump in the road after she becomes involved with a competitor, Jesse St. James , it threatens to derail the entire club. Mr. Schuester pays a visit to Shelby Corcoran, coach of Vocal Adrenaline, to confirm Jesse’s motives. Meanwhile, Will is newly single, but is he ready to take his relationship with Emma to the next level? And to top it all off, Sue Sylvester returns from her condo in Boca with a renewed focus on destroying Will and disbanding the glee club.

Episode #15: The Power of Madonna (air date: 2010-04-20)

Mr. Schuester is concerned that the girls in the glee club are being disrespected and bullied by the guys. Looking to Madonna and her musical message of equality as inspiration, he challenges the entire team to choose Madonna songs as their next assignment in the hopes that the girls embrace her strength, independence and confidence and that the guys will see the error of their misogynistic ways. The glee club takes the assignment to heart as they perform some of Madonna’s greatest hits, including “Express Yourself” and “Like A Prayer.” Meanwhile, Kurt and Mercedes give Sue a vote of confidence with a makeover that is definitely in “Vogue”.

Episode #16: Home (air date: 2010-04-27)

When Kurt sets his dad, Burt, up with an unexpected partner his plan for a nuclear family may backfire. Sue demands that the Cheerios! go on a crazy diet in preparation for a big interview with “Splits” magazine and April Rhodes returns to save Will and the glee club.

Episode #17: Bad Reputation (air date: 2010-05-04)

Mr. Schuester starts an investigation when a salacious list about members of the glee club circulates the halls of McKinley High. Meanwhile, Sue is mortified when a video of her performing the Olivia Newton-John classic "Physical" surfaces

Episode #18: Laryngitis (air date: 2010-05-11)

When a sore throat affects Rachel's singing voice, she goes into panic mode. Meanwhile, Kurt tries to change his persona to impress his father, and Puck makes a strategic move to elevate his social status.

Episode #19: Dream On (air date: 2010-05-18)

Mr. Schuester’s former high school nemesis, Bryan Ryan, causes trouble for the glee club. Meanwhile, Rachel struggles with a life-long personal issue, and Artie’s dreams take him on an adventure.

Episode #20: Theatricality (air date: 2010-05-25)

Rachel confronts her mother, while Tina faces an identity crisis. New Directions were given a task to sing Lady GaGa songs.

Episode #21: Funk (air date: 2010-06-01)

The glee club gets some news that’s sure to rattle a few nerves. Meanwhile, Quinn connects with her “funky” side with a little help from Mercedes, and Will gets revenge on Sue.

Episode #22: Journey to Regionals (air date: 2010-06-08)

Quinn is getting more anxious by the minute as she expects the baby, plus, Regionals is finally here, but will the Glee Club be able to triumph over Sue Sylvester's plots?
