Kingdom is a raw family drama set against the world of Mixed Martial Arts in Venice, California. Alvey Kulina owns Navy St. MMA with the help of his girlfriend Lisa Prince. He is willing to go through extraordinary means to make sure his fighters are taken care of, but all of this responsibility comes at a steep price. He has complicated relationships with both of his sons, Jay and Nate, who are both struggling with their own identities and places within Alvey’s life and gym.

Alvey Kulina is a master of a hall for mixed martial arts and a legendary boxer in his past and a fighter with financial problems at present. These series represent a real men’s world that has its own rules and justice. Very often they are violent and give no choice to those who fall into its sticky nets. Alvey’s younger son – Nate Kulina, is released from jail convicted for drugs. He is strong and intrepid, and this is exactly his assistance his father is waiting for to solve his business troubles. Nate’s vain endeavors to turn an honest penny come to naught, and he agrees. Thus Nate goes to the ring without the right to be defeated. Thus the heavy family drama is developed on the background of this MMA subculture mixed with criminal and fighting blood. Nate’s perfect physical form and exhausting trainings do their part – he gains victories one by one. But what will be on his fate next?

Behind a great variety of characters the plotline is scattered everywhere like a web, seizing plenty of different motives. This is about redemption of a recently perspective fighter, or of a just served his full sentence prisoner, or very complicated relationship between a father, his sons and a prostitute mother… The series is a gritty drama focused on the renegade subculture of Mixed Martial Arts with Alvey Kulina, an MMA legend and owner of a CA-based gym. Nate is an Alvey’s prize-fighter, a son and younger brother to Jay. In season 2 of the Kingdom series the followers may expect to see Nate in a gay sex scene, since in the first season he was confused about his sexuality.
