Drama series returns viewers to the 1940s when there was the height of World War II. American government has decided to create a special program which is able to develop nuclear weapons under the label "Manhattan Project." To perform such a unique work the scientists of the highest degrees of qualification were invited. After completion of the formation of a group of scientists they were transported to the desert of New Mexico, in Los Alamos. Frank Winter put in charge of the work in the laboratory. Participants develop a secret weapon a daily look into the eyes of death and carefully concealed the truth about the work done in front of their relatives.
