Kate begins to question whether Stevie was responsible for Harry Ryan's death. Meanwhile, Riley learns a local trainer abuses his horses; Kate & Patrick's night of passion is interrupted when Kate is distracted by the evidence against Stevie.
Kate realizes she was wrong to go to the police about Stevie. Meanwhile, Alex when returns to Killarney, Fiona fakes a miscarriage; Jodi pulls Drovers out of the Gungellan Fresh cooperative when the town turns against Stevie.
Stevie loses control when Leo returns to the district, just as she's trying to prove he murdered Harry Ryan. Meanwhile, Alex discovers Fiona lied about the pregnancy when he overhears her and Sandra; later when confronted, Fiona confesses to Alex the whole truth in an effort to get him to kick Sandra out of Killarney for good.
Thanks to a poor decision by Moira, Drovers Run suffers a dangerous petrol spill. Meanwhile, with his marriage on shaky ground Alex finds himself almost kissing Stevie; Jodi must make a farm decision based on the possibility that Stevie may go to jail, causing tension amongst the girls.
Steve tries to tie up loose ends at Drovers before her trial begins. Meanwhile, Fiona joins the CFS in an attempt to show Alex how she can integrate herself into the town; when Alex and Riley are away from Killarney the doors all over the property are left open.

Rose secretly begins seeing Leo, unaware of Leo and Stevie's history together. Meanwhile Riley, Alex, Jodi and Kate take cattle along the stock route overnight; after Patrick discovers a ring box in Dave's car, Jodi and Kate warn Regan a proposal is imminent and Regan tries to decide how she feels about that.
After excitedly preparing for dinner with Rose's mystery man, Stevie is horrified to discover that Rose's date is Leo. Meanwhile, Kate wants to apply for the Young Farmer of the Year award but is crushed when she learns that Jodi has entered as well, since Kate has never beaten Jodi at anything; Dave reaches out to Regan, as she begins pulling away from him.
After Jodi introduces Boer goats onto Drovers and tries to associate them with Gungellan Fresh, Phil Rakich interferes and bad mouths them. Meanwhile, Riley gets his revenge when he overhears what Phil has been saying and it backfires; Dave & Regan attempt to make an important decision about their relationship; Stevie spends one last day with Rose before she leaves for home.
After Alex returns from the city, Stevie worries that he's changed his mind about them. Meanwhile, Jodi and Patrick fight over who knows Kate the best; Kate and Dave work together when the Boer goats refuse to drink.
During a storm, Jodi has a nightmare about Rob and fleeing from the hitman. Meanwhile, Fiona gets released from the hospital and the newly-separated couple endure a tense return to Killarney; Riley needs Jodi's help searching for a brumby; Stevie learns why Alex missed their meeting.
After being offered a two-year research job in Africa, Dave tries to pretend he isn't interested. Meanwhile, Kate & Patrick hit a bumpy patch in their relationship; Stevie declares war on Alex; a newly-divorced Moira finds herself the object of Phil Rakich's affection.
After learning of Dave's plan to move to Africa, Kate realizes she still has feelings for him. Meanwhile, Fiona shows up at Killarney claiming half of the furniture; Riley wants to join the CFS but Jodi suspects it's really a ploy to be near her.
