Based on real events, Mercy Street takes viewers beyond the battlefield and into the lives of a distinctive cast of characters — doctors, nurses, contraband laborers and Southern loyalists — realizing the chaotic world of Union-occupied Alexandria, Virginia, and the Mansion House Hospital in the early years of the Civil War.

Historical drama producer which is Ridley Scott was based on real events. The series will dip you into those far days when there was a civil war in the United States. And the most vivid and courageous characters of the story will two women. Their names are Mary Finney and Emma Green. Two nurses by their own volition decided to go on the battlefield. But so it happened that by a certain ideological reasons, they were forced to work on opposite sides of the conflict. Mary and Greene understand the fact that the difference in their political views in any way should not affect on the quality of their work. Because here everything is interconnected, everything goes through the chain, and each step certainly will influence on the lives of other people. These events will help them become more stronger and to save many human lives. All the most violent moments which will occur during of confrontation of the North with the South and a heavy, exhausted work of these two characters will be presented this season.

Far in 1861. City of Alexandria located in Virginia becoming a hot spot where the military confrontation between the countries north and south does not subside. Two sisters of mercy: Mary and Emma are in the midst of what is happening. Each of them has an opinion about what is happening but in spite of their increased interest in politics women do not refuse to help treat soldiers fighting on both sides. Their compassion is kindness that can not be seen but can be felt in their deeds deeds and thoughts and no views and other supporters of persuasion will not destroy it. They are women who forget about the war for the sake of the wounded soldiers and not worried about what will happen to them the next day. Until recently, these two heroines had no relation to each other. But suddenly, fate brings them in a luxurious mansion that after the capture of the city was turned into a military hospital. From that moment the city obeys the laws of war has become a kind of boiler where from time to time brought the injured soldiers. Various doctors and nurses have also found shelter in it. For some only the city did not become a haven .. This picture shows not only the whole of the border chaos that engulfed America and a bitter struggle among the common people.
