Miracle Workers is a seasonal anthology series based on Simon Rich's books.
The first season is based on What in God's Name, and turns the perception of heaven on its head while also making the case that humans are worth saving.
The second season is based on Revolution, and centers upon a group of medieval villagers trying to stay positive in an age of extreme income inequality, poor healthcare, and widespread ignorance.
The action of Miracle Workers season 1 takes place in heaven, in the main office of the Heavenly Chancery. God decides to move away from all affairs and finally go on a well-deserved rest. He decides to destroy planet Earth before going on vacation, because he was completely disillusioned with the people inhabiting it. And only two lower rank angels, Craig and Eliza, who work in the prayer department, strongly disagree with this decision. As a result, God offers them a deal. If they can make an incredibly complex miracle, then he will save the planet. Their task is to make two unhappy people fall in love. The apocalypse is approaching, they can not hesitate, and Miracle Workers get down to business.Read more »
