The story starts in an exotic and fast developing Singapore in 1960. Sam was born in Australia and he passed his childhood in Japanese concentration camp during the Second World War and his adolescence was spent on Malaya during the Independence War. He is deeply traumatized by the awful events in his life. And when his neighbor, Patricia, asks to keep the detective agency of her deceased husband afloat, Sam is involved into the dangerous and unpredictable world of crimes, where Chinese invaders struggle for the control on the streets, the foreign soldiers make the political stability in countries fragile and the racial conflicts do not seem to come to an end. An American submariner dies under the strange circumstances. Is his death has something to do with communists, or there is another mysterious cause? Each episode represents a separate case, where there is a main storyline – looking for Mr. Cheng’s killers. The series is very exciting and won’t leave anyone cold!
