Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman launch a new series of the celebrity dance contest, with judges Len, Bruno, Darcey and Craig casting a critical eye over proceedings as 15 celebrities step onto the dance floor for the first time. Some might be nervous, some possibly terrified, but all 15 are excited to find out who their professional dance partner will be... Along with pairing the perfect partners, there are also performances from Olly Murs and Rebecca Ferguson. And, of course, all the pros and celebrities dance their very first routine together to get the new series of Strictly launched in style.

It is showtime on Strictly as six celebrities take to the floor to perform their very first routines with their professional partner. Who will impress and who will flounder? While the judges comment on and score the performances, it is for guidance only as it's all down to the viewers' vote to decide who will be the winning couple. Plus a performance from Emeli Sande, the Strictly celebrities of 2016 return for one last group performance, and Strictly says goodbye to head judge Len Goodman in the most spectacular fashion.
