The TV series ia about the reign of Henry's and at first season it tells us the story of international conflicts and political intrigues. Cardinal Wolsey plays an important role in the beginning of the season. In the first episode Cardinal becomes Henry's advisor. Cardinal advices to keep the friendship with France and the two kings shall meet at Calais for the signing of the agreement for peace. Anne Boleyn builds love affair with Henry. Henry decides to divorce the Queen - Catherine of Aragon but for this it is necessary to have permit the Catholic Church on behalf of the Pope. From the seventh episode the terrible disease falls on England. Henry want to prevent the disease and left London, he moved to the countryside. Anne Boleyn could not avoid the disease. Pope's ambassador arrives in England to decide the fate of marriage with Queen. The Court held in favor of Katherine. As punishment, the Cardinal loses his position and refers to York. The final season shows Cardinal makes a despair attempt to save himself, he decided on the conspiracy with the Queen. But it is revealed and the Cardinal saying prayer commits suicide.

Henry will do all that is possible to marry Anne despite the refusal of the Pope. He wants to meet Anna at the Royal Ball at France. The Pope's attack on Anna fails. In the third episode the new Archbishop dissolves the marriage of Henry. Now Henry could marry Anne without hindrance but it is even more angry Roman clergy. In the fifth episode Sir Thomas More refused to swear allegiance to the new head of the Church of England. This leads to the execution of Thomas More. In the sixth episode Thomas Cromwell heads the office Mora. He aims to prepare the nobles for the new monarchy. The eighth episode shows the beginning of Henry's quarrel with Anna. Everything comes from the Anna's inability to conceive a child and regular cheating with lovers.

In the third season, Henry marries for the third time but his honeymoon is spoiled because of the beginning of the insurrection against the authority of the new format. Part of the rebels is defeated in Lincolnshire but strengthened in Yorkshire, led by Robert Askey and Lord Darcy. Pope calls on the Spanish and French monarchs to support uprising in England for the purpose of repairing the old Catholic traditions. In the third episode we'll see Henry personally is trying to suppress insurrection. He persuades the rebel leaders to stop the war in return for promising to meet their demands in York. He arranges for the Church to recognize the new Protestant faith. Fearing an invasion of the Spaniards and the French, Henry is looking for support from other European countries and at the insistence of his minister, Thomas Cromwell, marries princess Anne of Cleves-Protestant. The king did not like New wife, and soon there is divorce, followed by a execution of Cromwell.

At the final season the emphasis is on developing relations with the King and his last wives - Catherine Howard and Katharine Parr, and also we see the war between Britain and France and in particular the siege of Boulogne is illustrated in details. In general, it is described the final period of life of Henry VIII Tudor. In the fifth episode Henry gives permission to the Earl of Hertford to investigate infidelity of Queen. Before execution the Queen says to Henry last words, that she would be better a Thomas Culpepper's wife than Queen of England. Henry weaves military intrigue agreeing to make an alliance with Spain and Rome. France has allied with Turks in response. Begins a long siege of the castle at Boulogne. Castle is gunned by cannons and do saps and tunnels to blast walls. As a result, The British conquered the castle and the keys to the city pass to Henry. In the final episode of the old age catches up Henry and before his death he meets the ghosts of his ex-wives.
