A whip-smart computer coder begins to hear the innermost wants and desires of the people around her through songs. At first, she questions her own sanity but soon realizes this unwanted curse may just be an incredibly wonderful gift.

The story of a very ordinary girl from San Francisco, Zoey Harris, who suddenly begins to hear people's thoughts, but in a strange way - in the form of songs or musical numbers. Zoey eventually realizes that the unusual event that she recently experienced could prove to be a valuable gift. And at first the girl already began to doubt her own adequacy ... But there is a problem! Her new ability to hear people's innermost thoughts through songs also tells Zoey that her best friend is secretly in love with her.

Season 2 is a sequel to the popular musical drama. In the new season, the permanent cast will include Andrew Leeds and Alice Lee, who play Zoe's older brother David and daughter-in-law Emily. The main roster also included Michael Thomas Grant and Kapil Talwalkar, aka Leif and Tobin, Zoe's colleagues at Sprq Point. In the season 1 finale, Zoe and her family said goodbye to their beloved Patriarch Mitch (played by Peter Gallagher) during a seven-minute musical performance. In the second season, David will be dealing with "losing his father when he first becomes a father himself," according to NBC. At the same time, his wife Emily "will balance between the joy and pain of motherhood, while mourning the loss of her father."
